How to Print your Squirrel Planner
The planner PDF is set to A4 size, but is designed to be printed in A5 format.
Everyone's printer is different and if yours is as temperamental and difficult as mine, you may need to print some test pages to get the set up correct initially.
We have found the best results are achieved with the following settings:
-
Page Sizing & Handling - Booklet
-
Booklet Subset - Both Sides
-
Binding - Left
-
Orientation - Landscape
-
Under Page Setup - Paper Size - A4
-
We recommend printing double sided if your printer allows. If it doesn't, feed one page into the printer at a time and flip it around and refeed it through to achieve a double sided print manually.
There will be sufficient space for hole punching or wire binding the pages into your chosen planner format.
We offer a paid for subscription for only £2.50 per month, which includes a printed and posted planner each month plus note paper, sticky notes and a small stationery bundle to help you get the most out of your monthly planner. Take a look in our shop for more information or to subscribe.

How to use your Squirrel Planner
It is entirely up to you how you chose to use your Squirrel Planner and of course the content and format will be changing each month to maintain the element of novelty.
We have provided some guidance on how we use the current format to help you get started though.
Here are some guidelines, to help you get started.
- The Appointments and Tasks section is designed to be used for time blocking your daily schedule:
- Set appointments can be written in.
- Tasks can written on index sticky notes, allowing them to be moved as required.
- You can use colour coding to define task categories (e.g. blue for work, yellow for personal, etc).
- The Week Planner can be used for any purpose. I find it useful as a meal planner.
- Habits and Challenges can be used to track habits you would like to keep track of or personal challenges you are setting yourself for the week (e.g. Walk at least 5000 steps a day, drink two glasses of water a day).
- Goal Reminders link to your Goal Tracker sheets to provide a quick reminder of the targets you have set yourself for the week.
- Goal Trackers to create, track and review two monthly goals. If you have our annual diary (available at our shop) this tool works well with our Core Goals planner to help you stay focussed on what matters to you.
